Moore County’s seventh-grade AAU girls basketball team finished as the state runner up and will play in the AAU Nationals in Ohio in July. To help raise money for the trip, the team will hold a bake sale fundraiser on Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. at Woodard’s Market and in front of Farmers Bank. Any donations and support very much appreciated.
LYNNVILLE – The Moore County Raiderettes were eliminated from the postseason Saturday night after a 10-0 loss to Richland High School in a TSSAA Class A Sectional contest. MCHS managed just two hits, while Richland had eight, including two home runs. One of the homers was a grandslam in the second inning that gave the hosts a 6-0 lead and more than enough momentum to cruise to the win. Emily
CHAPEL HILL — The Moore County Raiderettes had a shot at snapping a three-game skid against Forrest on Wednesday night in the Region 5-A Championship game. But Moore County couldn’t capitalize on a pair of Forrest blunders in the fifth inning and instead lost 1-0.
